This is where I’m going to show off some of my nicest vases. Once a turner feels their pretty good working on bowls, this is the next logical progression. They will challenge the artist as far as they would like to be challenged.
As your sharp tool gets farther and farther from the tool rest on the lathe (as in when you’re hollowing out the inside), things can go wrong very quickly at 600rpm.
Many of these will never get a Project page done. There are pieces made out of Aspen, Walnut, Apricot, and Elm in these Vases done between 2007 and 2011.
